Spencer Dinwiddie led the way with 22 points
Bayern outlasts Ulm in overtime to move atop German League standings

FC Bayern Basketball won the rematch of last season’s German League finals 77-81 after overtime against ratiopharm ulm. The result moves Bayern to the top of the standings at 6-1, while Ulm drops to 14th at 3-5 with its fifth consecutive loss.
Spencer Dinwiddie led all scorers with 22 points while Stefan Jovic contributed 15 points and 6 assists and Oscar da Silva tallied 15 points and 8 rebounds. Tobias Jensen paced Ulm with 19 points and 6 assists, Mark Smith scored 18 and Alec Anigbata had 15.
Diego Garavaglia and Mark Smith opened the scoring for Ulm, while Bayern struggled early to find rhythm. Justinian Jessup scored Bayern’s first points after 3 minutes, and the game remained close through halftime with Ulm strong on offensive rebounds and Bayern accurate from long range. The score was 38–36 for Ulm at the break.
Ulm extended its lead with a 7–0 run early in the third quarter, but Bayern responded to regain control. The game stayed tight until the final seconds. da Silva’s three-point play put Bayern ahead with 4 seconds left, but Christian Sengfelder hit a three-pointer to force overtime. Bayern prevailed in the extra session, converting free throws under pressure.
