Prior to his one year in Piraeus, Bolomboy spent four years with CSKA Moscow, where he helped the team win the EuroLeague title in his rookie season in 2019 before reaching the Final Four again in 2021. In 103 career appearances in the EuroLeague, including 20 starts, Bolomboy has averaged 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds.
Interestingly, his best EuroLeague performance came against Crvena Zvezda in December 2019, when he scored a career-high 17 points and had a career-best 26 PIR in a 26-point CSKA win.
Before coming to play in Europe, Bolomboy started his professional career with the Utah Jazz in the NBA. He also played for the Salt Lake City Stars and the Wisconsin Herd in the G League, as well as the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA, before joining CSKA. He has been a member of the Russian national team, too.
