Round 24 will be a special one in the EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge powered by Ardu Prime, with more trades than usual and an early deadline you shouldn't miss.
First things first, we want to express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected by the earthquakes that struck Turkiye on Monday. The two Round 24 games scheduled on Turkish soil, Anadolu Efes Istanbul vs. Real Madrid and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul vs. EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, have been suspended following the Turkish government's cancellation of all sports competitions until further notice. As a result, fantasy managers will be allowed to make five trades instead of the usual three, and you can also trade your head coach. Keep in mind that players from Efes, Fenerbahce, Real and Milan will get their average score in Round 24. Make sure you trade before Wednesday at 20:00 CET, tipoff time for this week's early game, ALBA Berlin vs. Olympiacos Piraeus, the same night.
My team, Gancedato, had a sub-par performance. Round 23 was not full of high scores, but the fact that my team captain Walter Tavares of Real Madrid heavily underperformed conditioned everything else. I had some starters not delivering but my bench players, Rokas Jokubaitis of FC Barcelona in particular, saved the day. My head coach Ettore Messina of Milan was a winner, so maybe with a different captain I would have done much better. I scored 107.95 points to total 3,314.6 overall, and I am 2,443th in the standings. I dropped a few spots, not too many.
As I said, five trades plus the head coach are allowed this week due to the extraordinary, unwanted circumstances. I am selling Coach Messina because Milan doesn't play this week and buying Coach Oded Kattash of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. Maccabi has been unstoppable at home all season long, losing one once at Menora Mivtachim Arena. I am trading three of the players who will not be on the court this week: Tavares, Shane Larkin of Efes, and Brandon Davies of Milan. Additionally, I am selling Darius Thompson of Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Uros Trifunovic of Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade.
First things first, I am buying the two players I like in Round 24. Mathias Lessort of Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade goes against one of his former teams and is having a career-best season, so that's two good reasons to buy him. I am also getting Mike James of AS Monaco because his team lost the French League finals against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and I am sure that should inspire him to have a good performance. I am buying two Zalgiris Kaunas players, Laurynas Birutis and Ignas Brazdeikis. Birutis played in the Spanish League and should find advantages against Steven Enoch and Matt Costello, and Brazdeikis has been on fire lately, just like my fifth and final signing, Paris Lee of Panathinaikos Athens.
