Hapoel: Bruno Caboclo undergoes back surgery

Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv announced on Tuesday that Brazilian big man Bruno Caboclo has undergone successful surgery to treat a herniated disc in his back. Caboclo, 30, will begin his rehabilitation process in Israel. Hapoel did not release a timetable for his recovery.
The big man has not played for Hapoel this season due to the injury. He was last seen in action with the Brazilian national team over the summer at 2025 FIBA AmeriCup, where he helped his country win the gold medal and was selected to the all-tournament team.
Caboclo joined Hapoel last season and helped it win the BKT EuroCup to secure qualification to the EuroLeague. He averaged 7.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 23 EuroCup games.
