“The ones who were here played well; I mean, everyone. I don’t have complaints about anyone. We started the game the right way, we kept our foot on the gas. They had a couple of comebacks, but we managed to regain control of the situation, especially in sharing the ball and [getting] defensive stops. The last three or four minutes were a little bit sloppy, but the game was already over. I’m happy overall with the performance of the team.
“I’m very satisfied with the performance of my team. We have to put things in perspective: ALBA Berlin beat Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade a couple of weeks ago; two days ago, they were one inch from beating Zalgiris. I think we had the right approach. From the very beginning, we put the game on the right track and we kept our foot on the gas. Maybe we found a little trouble in the third quarter, they came back to 8, but we managed to reopen a good gap, and everybody contributed. I think we shared the ball very well: 27 assists are really good numbers. When you pass the ball and share the ball, shooting percentages get automatically higher. On the defensive end, more than a couple of times we lost vision on cuts to the rim, but overall we were locked in, everybody was trying, so I’m happy about the game.”
“First of all, congratulations to Virtus, they played a great game. Now, it’s time to be with the players, to support them and try to help them.
"They played a good game, they moved the ball unbelievably good, they scored in almost all kind of situations. I don’t want to make excuses, we are in a bad moment, we are not playing well, but this is the moment to try to be together, to try to help each other, to try to get back the confidence – first the individual confidence, then help the teammates recover confidence – and then to try to play better. I think that right now, the mental situation is painful for everybody. These defeats in the Euroleague are a difficult situation. I know they are very upset in the locker room and they need to come back, to keep working and try to get through this mental sickness. We have and try to move on.”
“I played with confidence. I put a lot work in, my teammates trusted me today and they found me when I was open, so I’ve got to get credit for them. I’m happy with our win. I’ve been playing with Milos [Teodosic] for four seasons now. Nothing he does amazes me anymore. His aggressiveness, his IQ, but more importantly the way he wants to share the ball and get his teammates going before he is able to make shots and play for himself. He is one of my favorite teammates of all time, and obviously he is one of the best players ever played in Europe. He showed it today."
“First of all, we have great chemistry. We all knew how much we needed this win tonight, especially bouncing back from the loss we got at home against Partizan. Ultimately, we still keep fighting every game for the playoffs, and this win was another step in that direction. We stuck to the game plan, played with resiliency; we knew they are a high-pace team, that could produce from our mistakes. It’s always tough to come back from 20 points down, especially after halftime, but they had nothing to lose at that point, so we had to go out and fight an that’s what we did. We expected [they would come back] and they did it, but we kept fighting."
