Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv has announced the signing of guard Wade Baldwin on a two-year deal. The point guard arrives from Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz. Baldwin (1.93 meters, 26 years old) played in 30 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, during which he averaged 14.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.1 steals. He also helped Baskonia reach the semifinals of the Spanish League playoffs.
Maccabi makes playmaker Baldwin its latest signing

Maccabi is the fourth team that Baldwin will represent in the EuroLeague; he previously played for Olympiacos Piraeus (2019-20), FC Bayern Munich (2020-21) and Baskonia (2021-22). Prior to that, he was the 17th overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft and played for Memphis (2016-17) and Portland (2017-19).
Baldwin is the latest signing as Maccabi has revamped its roster in June. After appointing Oded Kattash as head coach, the club has signed Alex Poythress, Bonzie Colson, Guy Pnini, Darrun Hilliard, Austin Hollins, Rafi Menco, Lorenzo Brown and now Baldwin.
"Wade is one of the top guards in the EuroLeague and possesses extraordinary physical skills," Coach Kattash said. "He plays well on both ends of the court and brings tenacity and aggressiveness."
