Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv has added another key piece to its frontcourt by signing Josh Nebo for the coming season, with an option for a further year. Nebo (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Zalgiris Kaunas, with which he made his EuroLeague debut last season. He averaged 8.8 points on 65.0% two-point shooting, 6.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks as a part-time starter with Zalgiris. Nebo ranked third in the league in offensive rebounds with 2.5 per game, sixth in rebounds and 11th in blocks.

Nebo returns to Israel after making his professional debut in 2020-21 with Hapoel Eilat. He averaged 13.6 points, led the Israeli League with 9.9 rebounds and also had 1.1 blocks in 26 games with Eilat. Nebo previously split his four seasons in college between St. Francis University and Texas A&M University.
