He started in all 6 Panathinaikos games until now, averaging 4.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and a PIR of 6.8. Hernangomez joins another forward, Ioannis Papapetrou, in the Greens' injury list.

Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade boosted its frontline with the addition of center Bruno Caboclo, as the club announced the signing of a two-year contract on Tuesday.

[Bruno Caboclo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/bruno-caboclo/012096/) (2.06 meters, 28 years old) starred last season in the BKT EuroCup and over the summer with at the 2023 World Cup with the Brazilian national team.

In five games at the World Cup, Caboclo averaged 16.4 points and ranked third with 9.2 rebounds.

Last season, Caboclo was one of the best players in the BKT EuroCup. Playing for ratiopharm Ulm he posted a PIR of 19.6 last season, which was second in the competition. He also ranked second in blocks (1.5 bpg.) and two-pointers made (5.2), fifth in points (17.4 ppg.), sixth in rebounds (7.8 rpg.) and seventh in offensive rebounds (2.5 orpg.).

Caboclo and Ulm reached EuroCup quarterfinals, before the big man helped the team win its first-ever German League championship.

Caboclo started the 2022-23 season with Mexican club Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico, where he averaged 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in two G League games. He has spent the majority of his career in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets and with those teams' G-League affiliates: Fort Wayne, Raptors 905, Reno and Rio Grande.

Caboclo began his career with Pinheiros in Brazil. He has also played for Sao Paolo, which he led to the Basketball Champions League Americas title in 2022 and was the championship game MVP after posting 29 points and 7 rebounds in that effort, and Limoges CSP of France.

At Partizan (2-4), he will shore up the frontline which already features Zach LeDay, Frank Kaminsky, Alen Smailagic and Balsa Koprivica. Caboclo should help Zeljko Obradovic's squad in the rebounding department, where Partizan ranks 16th in total rebounds (30.7 rpg.) and 18th in offensive rebounding (7.5 orpg.). Partizan also struggles allowing 14.5 offensive rebounds per game as it gets ready to welcome Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (5-1) on Thursday night at Stark Arena.

Fantasy Challenge tips: Looking for cheap options

Only defending champion Real Madrid remains undefeated as the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season rolls into Round 7. Last week, Round 6 featured two road warriors: LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne grabbed its first victory with a huge rally at Zalgiris Kaunas and AS Monaco downed EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on Mike James's late heroics. But instead of recommending superstars this week, we instead have found players who are overperforming and can give you extra value in [EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/). These are our five recommendations, three of them under 9.0 credits.

[Ognjen Jaramaz, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/ognjen-jaramaz/004058/) (5.9 credits) – In Kevin Punter's absence, Jaramaz is making the most of extra playing time. In the last couple of games, he has averaged 11.5 points on 8-for-11 two-point shooting, 1.5 assists and a PIR of 9.5. Partizan needs him to step up against Fenerbahce.

EuroLeague Fantasy tips: Round 7

[Paris Lee, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/paris-lee/011225/) (11.0 credits) – Playing against a former team is always a big motivation and the same goes for Paris Lee. His team is getting better and his new coach, Gianmarco Pozzeco, is himself a former point guard, so Lee has a lot in his favor to play a really solid game against Monaco.

[Louis Olinde, ALBA Berlin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/louis-olinde/006919/) (8.6 credits) – Olinde has been improving as he goes along this season. In the last couple of games, he is averaging 11.0 points in 50% three-point shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists for a PIR of 17.0. At age 25, Olinde is on the right track for a career-defining season.

[Stefano Tonut, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/stefano-tonut/006509/) (5.4 credits) – All of a sudden, Tonut is seeing plenty of playing time and feeling very confident. In Round 6, Tonut had season highs of 9 points and a PIR of 12 in almost 30 minutes against Monaco. In Italian League action, Tonut had 16 points and a PIR of 23. All for 5.4 credits!

That includes Virtus Segafredo Bologna, who beat Efes Istanbul to move to 5-1 to start the season after winning just 14 games in the last one. The Italian club has been a different animal this season, and while they made a few personnel changes over the summer, their early success is thanks in large part to the resurgence of power forward [Tornike Shengelia](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tornike-shengelia/001133/), the [MVP for October](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/news/mvp-of-october-tornike-shengelia-virtus-segafredo-bologna/), as one of the EuroLeague's top players.

The 32-year-old is an accomplished veteran who made his EuroLeague debut during the 2011-12 regular season and has seen meaningful action every year for the last decade, scoring in double-figures in most of them. He earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors during the 2017-18 season, when he averaged 13.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game with Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz. As much as Shengelia has been a household name for years now, he's raised his game to an entirely different level this season, serving as the focal point of what Virtus does offensively. The team ranks third in the EuroLeague in points per game on gaudy efficiency numbers while Shengelia averages a team-leading, career-best 4.3 assists per game.

The table above lists the EuroLeague's top players in Synergy Sports's new points-created metric. It combines the things one would expect like points scored and assisted as well as more advanced player tracking data like secondary assists—shots derived from a player's passes out of pick-and-rolls, isolations, or post-ups that were not direct assists due to defensive rotations. It puts Shengelia's start to the season in perspective. Not only has he shot three-pointers at a high level and been exceptionally effective around the rim, but his increased playmaking role has placed him among the most productive overall weapons in the entire EuroLeague.

Shengelia is the elephant in the room at the top of this list, finding himself surrounded by some of the game's most prolific guards. Lorenzo Brown, Facundo Campazzo and Nicolas Laprovittola represent the top three players in assists per game while Mike James currently ranks second in points per game. Those players have the ball in their hands constantly and play a lot of pick-and-roll as primary ball-handlers of their respective teams. Shengelia joins them on this list despite seldom bringing the ball up the floor and doing as much passing from the post in traffic as any EuroLeague player in recent history.

Volume playmaking big men who can keep up with the league's most dynamic ball screen weapons are a rarity in the EuroLeague. Shengelia has changed the calculus entirely for Virtus as a big reason they currently rank second in offensive efficiency in the league. He makes things happen nearly every time has an opportunity within the flow of their offense and has an ability to make something out of nothing, often navigating traffic creatively to drop off nifty passes around defenders for easy layups on the block. As well as he has scored the ball himself, the corner he has turned with his passing in his 11th EuroLeague season has been perhaps even more impressive. 

What Shengelia's rise means to Virtus moving forward will be fascinating to watch. Massive season-to-season turnarounds are not entirely unprecedented in the modern EuroLeague, but they are rare, and even more so for teams that do not overhaul their roster meaningfully. 

**A WONDERFUL SIGHT**: Less than a month ago, Achille Polonara learned he needed a surgery to address a testicular tumor and 10 days ago it was announced he will undergo a four-week chemotherapy cycle. Despite all of that, Polonara was able to have an individual practice on Friday!
