The reigning MVP of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Nikola Mirotic, will miss the start of the season, his club, FC Barcelona, confirmed on Thursday. Mirotic (2.08 meters, 31 years old) suffered an injury to his left Achilles Tendon early in the summer. He has been under treatment all summer and although his progress, according to the club doctors, is promising, he will not be ready for the start of the EuroLeague season, the Spanish SuperCup or the Spanish League. Barcelona has not yet revealed a target date for Mirotic's return to the court and he will remain under the watch of the club's medical staff until he is fit to compete again.
