"I am very excited to return to Hapoel Tel Aviv and take part in the club's journey in the historic season in the EuroLeague," Ennis said. "Hapoel is a special club. Last time I ended on social media with the words 'until next time' - and I meant it. Looking forward to meeting the fans again. Yalla Hapoel!"
Ennis returns to the EuroLeague after appearing in three games during the 2018-19 season for Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul before suffering a season-ending injury.
After playing college basketball for Syracuse University, Ennis started his professional career with the Phoenix Suns, who selected him with the 18th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. He later played for the Bakersfield Jam and Raptors 905 in the G League as well as for the Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA.
He has also suited up for Turk Telekom Ankara and Tofas Bursa in Turkiye and Gevi Napoli Basket in Italy. Ennis helped Napoli win the 2024 Italian Cup. He had 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead Napoli to a 72-77 win against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in the final and was named MVP. Ennis has been a member of the Canadian national team, too.
