Euroleague Basketball is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Bronze Sports Innovation Award at the 2025 Sports Business Awards, recognizing the groundbreaking production and fan-engagement achievements delivered at the 2025 EuroLeague Final Four in Abu Dhabi.
The honor comes in a year when Euroleague Basketball was also shortlisted for Best Sports Marketing Campaign, International, following a landmark 25th anniversary season celebrated across Europe and beyond.
The Bronze Sports Innovation Award recognizes Euroleague Basketball’s partnership with IMG in delivering the first-ever EuroLeague Final Four hosted in the Middle East. Held at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, the event showcased a new global chapter for the competition, breaking production and engagement records. IMG’s world-class broadcast approach featured a record 24 cameras, including immersive in-stanchion views and roaming RF Steadicams, creating the most dynamic live basketball coverage in league history.
The 2025 Final Four also generated extraordinary digital impact, reaching 208.6 million impressions and 100.6 million video views across EuroLeague official platforms. Complementing the on-court spectacle, fans enjoyed a fully immersive week of activations, from 25th anniversary celebrations and live digital shows to mic’d-up player features and the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Finals, ultimately driving an 81% increase in global fan engagement.
