U18 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne grabbed its first win in Group B at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier by rallying from a double-digit deficit to beat U18 BAXI Manresa 71-88.

Marvyn Wade led the winners with 25 points and seven assists. Stanley Risal added 14 points, Arthur Gruszka and Yohan Bassoumba each had 12 while Cherif Ndiaye got 11 for ASVEL. Gerard Fernandez led Manresa with 13 points. Alex Muncunill and Lucas Sanchez each had 11. ASVEL finished the game with 22 assists and 12 turnovers. On the other hand, Manresa had 12 assists and 21 turnovers.
Fernandez struck twice from downtown and Miquel Villalonga added another three-pointer in a 13-0 opening run. Fernandez got help from Muncunill to make Manresa keep a double-digit lead, 24-13, after 10 minutes. Wade and Bassoumba sparked ASVEL's comeback before Risal gave his team a 37-40 lead near halftime. The back-and-forth battle continued after the break, as a put-back layup by Villalonga tied it at 59-59 after 30 minutes. Arthur Gruszka took over early in the fourth quarter and Risal struck from beyond the arc to break the game open, 67-77. Manresa kept trying but ASVEL kept full control of the game until the final buzzer.
