The blue and red club experiences an emotional day in its history, surrounded by its fans and legendary figures such as Luis Scola and Igor Rakocevic.
Baskonia celebrates its 25th EuroLeague anniversary

The Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz family is celebrating its 25th anniversary at the pinnacle of European basketball. The club organized a special event attended by Euroleague Basketball President Dejan Bodiroga, commemorating the fact that Baskonia is one of just four teams that have played in every season of Europe's premier basketball competition.
One of the event's main highlights was the premiere of a documentary featuring Josean Querejeta, Alfredo Salazar, and Felix Fernandez, reflecting on these 25 years at the top level. Additionally, a roundtable discussion featuring Pablo Laso, Luis Scola, Igor Rakocevic, and the aforementioned Dejan Bodiroga provided an opportunity to highlight the significance of this silver anniversary and relive some of the most thrilling moments in EuroLeague history.
"I want to take advantage of this opportunity to congratulate Josean, Felix and his team for the great work they have done over the years. Baskonia became a big club not just in Spain but beyond the Spanish borders due to its intuition and its way to do things differently," Bodiroga said. "Baskonia always had a clear identity, as well as clear and special ideas, and this is something you could also see on the court."
The entire Baskonia squad, led by Tadas Sedekerskis and Markus Howard, who also appear in the documentary, was present at the event. More than 200 people, including fans, institutions, sponsors, media representatives, and basketball personalities, gathered to experience this special day in the history of the Vitoria-Gasteiz club.
Baskonia, alongside FC Barcelona, Olympiacos, and Zalgiris, is one of the four clubs that can proudly claim to have competed in all 25 EuroLeague seasons to date. The city of Vitoria-Gasteiz and the entire Basque Country have enjoyed unforgettable moments with their team and will continue to do so in the years to come, witnessing Europe's best teams at Buesa Arena.
