This is what the protagonists had to say after the Round 31 showdown between Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul.
Post-game quotes: Baskonia vs. Fenerbahce

Neven Spahija, Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz head coach:
“We played the second half way better. We played very aggressive defense, we pressured them. Offensively I think we played more reasonable, we didn’t shoot every open shot and tried to penetrate. We got some fouls and way better percentages. They didn’t respond and I want to congratulate my team for the great job. And also the crowd was amazing tonight, it would be very difficult to do this without our crowd. It’s not easy but I’ve got to give credit to our team for the job they are doing lately. My players are heroes, for me, what we’re going through lately and how we’re playing. Every game for us is a final. We have no right to lose, we’re going to fight. For sure one day we’ll lose a game, but until that we’ll give our best to continue.
“My medical and physical staff are very important for us, to help my players get back and feel better. I give them special credit for this win.”
Sasa Djordjevic, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul head coach:
“They opened the second half with inexplicable easy threes, they came into confidence and they continued playing like that. We lost our momentum and we lost our player on the ball, Nando De Colo, in the first half due to some injury. I hope it’s not that serious but we couldn’t play him in the second half and he was one of the keys that we had a good first half. Unfortunately, we lost the game, but we’ve got some players back and just have to keep working. Congratulations to Baskonia.
“They changed the pace of the game, they changed the rhythm and we couldn’t control the pace. We had some unforced turnovers, maybe we were missing the confident fighting spirit with the shorter rotations. Our organization and control completely changed after the injury to De Colo. They played as a team, the ball moved from hand to hand and they expressed ball pressure so we couldn’t even organize our offense. Baskonia deserved to win, too bad for us.”

Wade Baldwin, Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz guard:
“We’re playing good basketball all around. We have a sense of urgency now, we’ve got two more games to go. A big one against Fenerbahce, they absolutely killed us when we went there, so we owed them a big favor. I’m happy that we’re playing well and finding our rhythm. I went a bit Steph Curry out there, the shots were flowing and I’m happy we won the game.”
Steven Enoch, Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz center:
“We played together, we’ve been playing good basketball. I feel like our team chemistry is rising and, of course, the help of our fans who supported us through the whole game. As long as we all support each other, everybody plays good.”
