Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has signed scoring ace Scottie Wilbekin to a three-year deal, the club announced on Sunday. Wilbekin (1.88 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, where he spent the past five seasons. He ranked fifth in the league in scoring last season with 15.4 points per game and led all players with 2.6 three-pointers per game. Wilbekin was also third in steals (1.5 spg.) and 12th in assists (4.1 apg.) last season. In his time with Maccabi, Wilbekin led the club to three Israeli League championships.

Wilbekin returns to Istanbul, where he previously found success with Darussafaka Istanbul. He made his EuroLeague debut with Darussafaka in 2015 and led the club to the 7DAYS EuroCup championship in 2018. He was chosen as the EuroCup Regular Season MVP and the EuroCup Finals MVP as well as to the All-EuroCup First Team that season. Wilbekin has Turkish citizenship and is a member of the Turkish national team. He enters the 2022-23 season ranked 10th in EuroLeague history with 431 three-pointers, tied for 25th with 212 steals and 34th with 2,367 points.
