Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul enjoyed a perfect two-round week, following a road victory at AS Monaco on Tuesday by triumphing at EA7 Armani Exchange Milan on Thursday and nobody shined brighter than Nigel Hayes-Davis.
Itoudis on red-hot Hayes-Davis: 'He loves basketball'

The 27-year-old forward, who joined Fenerbahce from Barcelona over the summer, scored 21 points at Monaco and then added 22 points in Milan, making this week the first time he has passed 20 points in consecutive games during his four-season, 109-appearance EuroLeague career.
And it wasn’t just this week because Hayes-Davis is enjoying the best season of his career: so far, he has averaged 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 14.5 PIR, a big improvement on his overall career averages of 7.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 7.4 PIR.

Head coach Dimitris Itoudis was happy to herald the contribution of Hayes-Davis and believes his great form is partly due to the pleasure he is currently deriving from the sport.
“Nigel is a very important piece for us and he loves what he’s doing,” said Itoudis. “He loves basketball. He loves waking up on off days and working on his skills. He likes to be there with the team and give his best. He’s playing multiple positions, guarding 1 to 5 with no problem and he executes well.”
In fact, he’s never executed better.
