Preseason: Efes, Fenerbahce to meet in tourney final

Turkish Airlines Euroleague champion Anadolu Efes Istanbul and rival Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul will face off for the title of the TUBAD Tournament in their city after both teams aced their first games of the preseason on Saturday. Efes debuted in style with an 86-70 win over Bahcesehir. Although two-time champ Rodrigue Beaubois led the effort with 15 points, Efes fans got good signs from a pair of forwards who are newcomers to the squad. Will Clyburn posted 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists while Egehan Arna had 10 points and 4 assists.
A pair of Fenerbahce offseason signings were even more impressive in their new team's 77-95 decision over Besiktas Emlakjet. After scoring 12 first-quarter points leading to double-digit leads that Fenerbahce protected the rest of the night, finished his tally with 30 points. He was followed by Johnathan Motely with 22. Efes and Fenerbahce will meet on Sunday in the tourney finale.
Elsewhere, Valencia Basket started its preseason by making short work of visiting Gran Canaria with a 91-61 victory on Saturday. In its first game under new head coach Alex Mumbru, Valencia scored the first 7 points and led 22-9 after one quarter. The difference only got wider from there, and despite its 91 points, Valencia spread of the offensive wealth. Sam Van Rossom led the winners with 13 points while Johan Radebaugth and Chris Jones added 12 each.
