Real Madrid swingman Rudy Fernandez is expected to miss the start of the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season due to a hand injury, the club reported Tuesday. Fernandez, age 37, underwent surgery on his left wrist, supervised by the club's medical team, and is not expected to return soon. A EuroLeague champion with Los Blancos in 2015 and 2018, Fernandez is set to enter his 13th season in the competition. He ranks 13th all-time in scoring (2,872 points), is tied for second in three-point shots made (548) and fourth in steals (330).
