"First of all, congrats to my players for the win. It was a good game for us; we played good tonight. In this moment, for us, after so many problems, we had a big win and because of that, it is also very important. Our beginning of the game was good, defensively very good. In the second quarter, we had many problems with them making a lot of shots. Their three-point percentage was excellent. In the third quarter, they also played well but in the last 10 minutes, we were defensively excellent and our offense was very smart. In the end, like I said, a big win in this moment for us and at the same time, important for us."
UNICS Kazan head coach Velimir Perasovic:
"First of all, congratulations to Zvezda. They were the better team tonight. From the beginning, they played very tough and very physical. In the final [minutes] of the game, they had more concentration and played better solutions on offense. They had 11 steals and we had 18 turnovers, so a lot of our turnovers was the product of their good defense. Lorenzo Brown is an important player for us, for sure, but today he was not with the team and other players also had the opportunity to win the game. I don't want to talk about a player who was not here. Offensively, Marco Spissu played a good game. He helped us a lot, especially in the second quarter, when we were down. But when we lose the game, no one is very good."
