Virtus Segafredo Bologna has bolstered its options at the forward position by signing Semi Ojeleye to a two-year deal, the club confirmed on Thursday. Ojeleye (1.98 meters, 27 years old) spent last season playing for Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA, as he averaged 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds in 30 games. He will make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut in the 2022-23 campaign.

Ojeleye spent three years playing in college, as he was at Duke University between 2013 and 2015 before spending the 2016-17 season at Southern Methodist University. He was then drafted by Boston of the NBA, which he represented between 2017 and 2021. Last summer, Ojeleye signed for Milwaukee of the NBA on a one-year deal, but he was traded to the Clippers in February 2022 and then waived a month later. Now, Ojeleye will play outside the United States for the first time in his career.
