Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul confirmed on Tuesday that Onuralp Bitim is set to miss extensive time after tearing an ankle ligament while playing for Turkiye during the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
Bitim suffered the injury on Friday in a game against Bosnia and Herzegovina, with detailed examinations later confirming an ankle ligament tear which will keep him out indefinitely.
Bitim has appeared in 12 games this season, all off the bench, and in limited minutes has averaged 2.3 points and 1.1 rebounds for the defending champs, who are on a five-game winning streak and have an 8-5 record.
The 26-year-old forward joined Fenerbahce in November 2024 and signed a deal until the end of 2027-28 season, but spent last season on loan at FC Bayern Munich.
