FC Bayern Munich has tied down Augustine Rubit on a new one-year contract, the club confirmed on Wednesday. Rubit (2.03 meters, 32 years old) is entering his second year at Bayern, with which he averaged 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists last season in 36 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games. The American forward played a key role in Bayern reaching the playoffs where it lost to FC Barcelona in a five-game series.

Rubit spent four years at the University of South Alabama before beginning his professional career, which has been mainly based in Germany, first joining Tigers Tubingen in 2014 and then going on to play for ratiopharm Ulm (2015-17) and Brose Bamberg (2017-19). Rubit then opted to play in Greece and Lithuania, with Olympiacos Piraeus and Zalgiris Kaunas respectively, in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.
