Zvezda wins Serbian Cup!
Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade has won the Serbian Cup for the third year in a row – and for the 12th time in total – after downing Mega Basket 96-79 in the final. Ognjen Dobric and Nemanja Nedovic were the stars of the show on offense for Zvezda, scoring 24 and 20 points, respectively.
Mega made life difficult for Zvezda in the first quarter and was able to close the first 10 minutes ahead, 22-23. However, Zvezda then put its foot on the gas on offense in the second and third quarters, scoring 29 and 27 points, respectively. Mega was unable to keep pace in that time, scoring 21 points in each quarter. Entering the fourth quarter, Zvezda led 78-65. The last period saw each team score their lowest total of points, yet Zvezda was able to put 18 on the board compared to Mega's 14.
