Ready for its fourth consecutive Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign, Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade has appointed a debutant head coach in Vladimir Jovanovic and has put together an experienced roster that has only two players – playmaker Jaylen Adams and center Dalibor Ilic – who have yet to play a game in the competition.
BACKCOURT
Zvezda will put the ball in the hands of a rookie playmaker Jaylen Adams, who has showcased during his career that he knows how to create for others as well as how to put the ball through the bucket. In Zvezda's brand new starting backcourt, he will partner up with scoring ace Nemanja Nedovic, who returns to the club after a decade away. Starting Adams and Nedovic, who is a playmaker in his own right, will put Nikola Ivanovic in a role off the bench, which he has thrived in so far in his career. Energetic and athletic guard Ognjen Dobric has grown into one of the leaders of this team and is coming off the best season of his career. The third point guard on the roster, Stefan Markovic, has great experience and is a stellar defender, not unlike Branko Lazic, the team captain and the man who has played more games in a Zvezda jersey than anyone in club history. Lazic is considered to be one of the league's best perimeter defenders. Swingman Stefan Lazarevic will provide the team with more depth in his second full season in the competition.
