Latest signing: Real retains veteran icon Rudy Fernandez for next season
Real Madrid and one of its iconic veterans, three-time Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion Rudy Fernandez, are staying together for another season, until the end of 2023-24 campaign, the club announced on Tuesday. Fernandez (1.96 meters, 38 years old) is coming off his 13th season in the competition and 12th with Real, one in which he averaged 4.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20 appearances off the bench, helping Los Blancos on the way to another continental crown. Fernandez was instrumental, too, in the club winning the EuroLeague in 2015 and 2018, Real's first such trophies in two decades. They have reached three other EuroLeague Championship games as well, in 2013, 2014 and 2022.
The 18 teams that will compete in the 2023-24 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague are already busy building and reinforcing their rosters for another season in which every game is sure to matter.
